Are you an experienced SENCO? Do you want a new challenge in an Outstanding school with opportunities to develop your leadership further?

St Cuthbert Mayne Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a new Inclusion Leader from September 2018.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced class teacher with a National Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-Ordination, who has the vision, expertise and determination to work tirelessly to improve outcomes for SEND and disadvantaged children.


Do you have?

  • A commitment and passion for inclusion, ensuring individual children’s needs are identified early and met through targeted provision;
  • The strength to bring your own ideas to the role, continuing the development of our highly regarded inclusive practice;
  • Ability to work in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and all stake holders; enhancing teaching and learning opportunities across the school;
  • Ability to work in partnership professionals, and the wider community;
  • Ability to evaluate provision, identify and shape improvements to build on success;
  • A sound understanding of recent legislation and the ability to ensure practice is revised accordingly.

 The contract is permanent and full time but flexible working or part-time will be considered for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be expected to be an outstanding teacher with the ability to analyse data at school, local and national level and to use the internal data effectively to identify priorities for individual pupils’ progress as well as whole school improvement and the professional development of class teachers and Teaching & Learning Assistants.
