They qualified for the semifinal which they negotiated successfully in order to face their old rivals, Wonersh & Shamley Green in the final. The beauty of this event was that both finalists’ teams were a mix of experienced cricketers and some novices who were playing the game for the very first time. Year 5 cricketers were commended for how well they fared in the competition, and for their care and guidance that the more knowledgeable children showed to those new to the game. WSG just pipped SCM to the post in the final, but it was a wonderful afternoon which was improved even more by the sunshine!
