He explained to us about the oils of Catechumens and Chrism and why they are used at a Baptism. Fr Alistair also explained why the child is dressed in a white garment and given a candle. Our Faith Council members were allowed to choose an old Easter  Candle to add to our classroom display about Baptism. The candle will remind us that the child’s Baptismal candle is lit from it.

We really enjoyed our visit to the church and having the opportunity to ask Fr Alistair questions that we had wondered about during the topic.
