They participated in workshops where they learnt about homes and household items from the 1940s and 1950s. We were then transported back to the Victorian times, and they were able to compare what they had learnt about homes in that time period. The children got to explore the Victorian streets of the museum and enjoyed dressing up in a range of outfits from a variety of jobs and social classes. In the afternoon, we went to the pier to play arcade games from the 1950s, visited the Teddy Bear Museum and went to the sweet shop to get a ration of sweets. The children had a wonderful day.
