SPORTS REPORTS

After 18 months it is great to be out playing sport and representing St. Cuthbert Mayne.

Year 5/6 girls football "Determined".

Our Year 5/6 girls football team had a fantastic time at Cranleigh Prep School.  They played 4 matches and each child showed excellent teamwork and support for their peers.   We won 2 of our matches and were proud of our success!

Year 3 and Year 4 Cross Country "Awesome"

Huge congratulations to all the Year 3 and 4 children who took part in the cross country event at Wonersh and Shamley Green School on Tuesday.  There was great enthusiasm from all the participants as we cheered our teams along.   Everyone showed determination and perseverance as they battled to the finishing link and were rightly very proud of their achievements.   Well done runners! Thank you for making it such a fun and positive event and all the parents who showed such support for St. Cuthbert Mayne and organised lifts to the event.

 Year 5 football "Amazing"

There was an amazing football match on Thursday 21st October.  The Year Five team from St. Cuthbert Mayne were well behaved and showed great sportsmanship.   They played brilliantly and scored 7 goals!  W and SG were brilliant too and ended up winning 8 - 7... but what a match!   It was a pure pleasure to watch and St. Cuthbert Mayne children made the staff who went with them very proud.

NETBALL NEWS JANUARY

It has been great to see the girls’ enthusiasm for Netball grow along with their skills and understanding of the game.

The U10 and U11 team put on a superb performance against St Catherine’s Prep School and showed how much they have improved this term. Both teams were organised, disciplined and showed good passing and movement. Their game play is of the level I would expect and they should be extremely proud of the improvements they have made as individuals as well as a team. Well done girls!

Report by Mrs Singleton

Thank you to Mrs Singleton for training and supporting the children. It’s great to hear how well you are developing and improving!
