It's that time of year when lots of rehearsals and preparations are taking place. The Friends have been busy making arrangements for the Fair this Sunday. Thank you to all those of you that have been bringing in donations for hampers and all of the other work that has gone into making the Fair a fantastic occasion for both the school and parish community. We are surrounded by the sound of nativity songs and the choir practising their carols. At the time of writing we are eagerly awaiting the results of the Christmas Bauble Decorating Competition.
This week we were joined by Governors who meet with the School Council. We spent some time looking at the proposed Mission Statement. It was great to hear the children's suggestions; English teachers will be pleased to hear that they were particularly keen on getting some alliteration, while ensuring that we don't prioritise style over substance. Thank you to the parents who attended the Parent Forum this week and to those who emailed in their comments - we had a really interesting discussion about the Mission Statement. Of course it is not easy to reflect everybody's opinion in the final statement, but it is wonderful to have the opportunity to discuss what it is we are trying to achieve for the children in our school each day.
I hope to see many of you at the various events over the next two weeks - Fair, Carol Concert, Nativities. Please do come to the Fair this weekend (even if it rains), your support is so very much appreciated!
God bless,
Thomas Hall, Head of School
